Voltage Multiples of 11?

hi friends...
last three days,.I am away from my home place for my office work ..so,I am very busy with it..
know i am back to blogging..

today my brother asked me a question, who is studying +2, that why all voltages are multiples of 11 only as 110v,220v,440v,11KV,132KV..., As i am an electronics and communication engineer didn't able to answer it,even i never got such question during my course.....

immediately opened the screen of Google and started searching ..i did for a half hour but i didn't find the exact reason for it..may be no reason for it..i don't know at present.

here i am posting some of interesting forum discussions on this topic. If any one knows exactly please comment on this post...

Space elevator

hi friends..
..yesterday morning i read a magazine while traveling . In the magazine i found the article about "Space elevator" ,I feel so interesting it is..so, i link to share it with u..may be many of u know it..

Space elevator is just elevator to the space from earth. Imagine How it would be..

here is the technical details..

A space elevator would consist of a cable anchored to the Earth's surface , reaching into Space. By attaching a counterweight at the end , inertia ensures that the cable remains stretched taut, countering the gravitational pull on the lower sections, thus allowing the elevator to remain in geostationary orbit .

THE TATTO

T attoos are created by inserting colored materials inside the skin's surface. The first tattoos probably were created by an accident.Someone had a small wound, and rubbed it with soot and ashes from a fire.Once the wound had healed, they saw that a mark stayed permanently.

the word "tattoo" is a borrowing of the Samoan word tatau, meaning to mark or strike twice (the latter referring to traditional methods of applying the designs).
The first syllable "ta", meaning "hand", is repeated twice as an onomatopoeic reference to the repetitive nature of the action, and the final syllable "U" translates to "color".

Tattooing has been a Eurasian practice at least since Neolithic times. dating from the fourth to fifth millennium BC, was found in the Ötz valley in the Alps and had approximately 57 carbon tattoos consisting of simple dots and lines on his lower spine, behind his left knee, and on his right ankle. Other mummies bearing tattoos and dating from the end of the second millennium BC have been discovered at Pazyryk on the Ukok Plateau.

Tattooing in Japan is thought to go back to the Paleolithic era, some ten thousand years ago.Various other cultures have had their own tattoo traditions, ranging from rubbing cuts and other wounds with ashes, to hand-pricking the skin to insert dyes.

WORLD's OLDEST BLOGGER DIED..

T he world's oldest Internet blogger has died at the age of 108 after posting a final message about singing "a happy song" in her nursing home.
Olive Riley "passed away peacefully on July 12 and will be mourned by thousands of Internet friends and hundreds of descendants and other relatives," a note on her website said.
Riley had posted more than 70 entries on her blog from Woy Woy on the east coast since February last year, sharing her thoughts on modern life and her experiences living through the entire 20th century.
Born in the outback town of Broken Hill on October 20 1899, she lived through two world wars and raised three children while doing various jobs, including ranch cook and barmaid.
In her final post on June 26, she wrote: "I can't believe I've been here in this nursing home for more than a week.
"How the days have flown, even though I've been in bed most of the time. I still feel weak, and can't shake off that bad cough.
"Penny, who's in the next bed to mine, had a visit one day this week from her daughter, who's a professional singer. Guess what happened! She and I sang a happy song, as I do every day, and before long we were joined by several nurses, who sang along too. It was quite a concert!"
Riley's blog, initially on http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/afp/tc_afp/storytext/lifestyleaustraliainternetblogging/28223641/SIG=111ckcer5/*http://www.allaboutolive.com.au and more recently at http://worldsoldestblogger.blogspot.com, was "mind-blowing to her," her great grandson Darren Stone said.
"She had people communicating with her from as far away as Russia and America on a continual basis, not just once in a while," he told the national AAP news agency.
"She enjoyed the notoriety -- it kept her mind fresh."

History of Pizza

T he common belief is that Italians invented the pizza, however the origins go back to the ancient times. Even though we have yet to uncover archeological evidence of a Dominos Pizza before the last century, it is known the Babylonians, Israelites, Egyptians and other ancient Middle Eastern cultures were eating flat, un-leaven bread that had been cooked in mud ovens. The bread was much like a pita, which is still common in Greece and the Middle East today. Further it is known that ancient Mediterranean people such as the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians were eating the bread, topped seasoned with olive oil and native spices.
The lower class of the Naples, Italy is believed to have created pizza in a more familiar fashion. In the late 1800s a Italian baker named Raffaele Esposito, was believed to have created a dish for visiting royalty. According to the story, the Italian monarch King Umberto and his consort, Queen Margherita were touring the area. In order to impress them and to show his patriotic fervor Raffaele chose to top flat bread with food that would best represent the colors of Italy: red tomato, white mozzarella cheese and green basil. The king and queen were so impressed that word quickly reached the masses. The end results were that the dish was well received to the extent that others began to copy it.
By the beginning of the 1900's pizza made it's way to the inner cities United States, thanks to Italian immigrants, most notably New York and Chicago, due to those cities having large Italian populations. Small cafes began offering the Italian favorite. American soldiers further prompted the dish to become very popular at the end of World War II, having been exposed to it while serving on the Italian front.
Today pizza has become just as American as baseball and apple pie. Only because of its most recent origins is it considered an Italian dish.

MAHANGAI GAME...THE Game of common man and Prime minister

hai friends..

here is your dream of getting prime minister .....check this MAHANGAI GAME at http://games.webdunia.com/ once ,finally you will find it's too difficult to be as PM.

Game Details

Do you have it in you? Have you ever dreamt of becoming the premier of your country? Well, now’s your chance. You can take the hot seat. Try your hands doing the balancing act between the budget and the ‘common man’. Put yourself in Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s shoes. Your challenge is to keep the ‘common man’ on the board, while allowing other objects to drop off. The budget is the ‘board’ and the ‘common man’ is the person on the board. But remember, being a prime minister is not a child’s play. You have to pay the cost for the wrong decisions you make. Take care of the common man as he is already in a tight spot owing to the recent increase in petrol prices. Be cautious, the common man shouldn’t fall off the board otherwise your game will be over. For each object you let fall off the board, you gain 100 points. Let’s see, you have it in you or not? How to play? Move the cursor horizontally to balance the board. For example: • To lift the board on the right--- Move cursor to the right • To tilt the board to the right---- Move cursor to the left.

HAIR CARE ADVICE

coosing the wrong shampoo can have a serious impact on how your hair looks. You'll never achieve the result you want if you buy the wrong shampoo-or use the right one incorrectly. It all starts with shampooing frequency. And with a penchant for cleanliness, Americans always tend to overwash their hair. But women with exceptionally dry hair, such as African-Americans, need to reduce their shampooing frequency. Conversely, if you have incredibly oily hair, daily shampooing may be required to cut the grease.Shampoo & Your 'do By definition, shampoo is designed to remove dirt and excess sebum from the scalp and hair. Sebum is necessary for healthy hair. It is secreted by sebaceous glands, found in skin all over our bodies, including the scalp. These glands provide healthy lubrication to our skin and hair. Scientists estimate that the average woman produces approximately 1 ounce of sebum every 100 days, so it's a substance worth protecting! If you have oily hair, your sebaceous glands secrete too much sebum, and you'll want to select a shampoo designed to control it. If you have dry hair, your glands secrete too little sebum, and you'll want to choose a shampoo that provides a little extra moisture. Gentle shampoos, like baby shampoo, remove the bare minimum. Harsher shampoos, like dandruff shampoos and those made for oily hair, are manufactured to cleanse more thoroughly and remove more sebum. Problems typically occur when, for example, a woman with oily hair accidentally buys a shampoo intended for dry hair. She may not discover why her scalp has become an oil slick until she checks the shampoo bottle.Understanding Labels As with food products, ingredients in shampoos are listed by the amounts contained in the bottle, in descending order of weight. The higher up on the list and ingredient is, the more of the ingredient in the shampoo.Normally, the first ingredient in shampoo is water. If it, alone, could cleanse the hair, we wouldn't need shampoo. Water, however, cannot remove oil, sebum or product buildup, so manufacturers must add detergent agents which are known as "surfactants."Surfactants cleanse the hair and create lather. Manufacturers can choose from inexpensive or pricey surfactants, and these generally determine the quality of your shampoo. Cheap surfactants, such as sodium lauryl sulfate and ammonium lauryl sulfate, are popular among manufacturers because they keep down costs. You'll find these particular surfactants in generic, supermarket, drugstore and certain mass-market brands. (They're also the chemicals most commonly associated with eye irritation.) The problem, however, is that these surfactants are harsh on the hair, stripping it of oils and causing hair color to fade much more quickly. The more expensive "designer" or salon brands contain more expensive surfactants, such as sodium cocoyl isethionate and methyl cocoyl taurate (sometimes labeled simply as "coconut oil" or "fatty acids"), cocamidopropyl betaine and cocamidopropylamine oxide. Yes, they're certainly a mouthful, but they are nondrying, much more gentle on the hair and tend to work well regardless of whether you have hard or soft water. They're also more expensive for manufacturers to use, so that's why you'll pay more for a bottle of shampoo. (Many manufacturers compromise, mixing low-cost sodium lauryl sulfate with a coconut-oil surfactant. This can work well.)Some shampoos can contain detanglers and anti-static agents, which function exactly as their names imply. A common agent to look for is "quaternary ammonium.""Humectants" behave like tiny sponges, attracting and holding water. You'll find them in shampoos for dry, damaged or color-treated hair. Commonly used humectants include glycerin, sorbitol, sodium lactate and hyaluronic acid."Conditioning agents" help to soften hair and allow it to retain moisture. Look for amino acids, collagen, panthenol, elastin and proteins on ingredient lists."Thickening" or "volumizing" shampoos increase bulk and improve manageability. They contain ingredients like hydroxyethyl cellulose, gum arabic, guar, xanthan and chitin."Preservatives," such as methylparaben, quaternium-15, methylisothiazolinone and propylparaben, help prevent shampoo from becoming contaminated by mold or bacteria. "All-natural" shampoos that contain no preservatives have a tendency to "spoil" if not used within their designated shelf life.Never buy a shampoo based on its fragrance, which is no reflection of a shampoo's quality. It's only one more ingredient manufacturers use to convince you to buy their products. (Who doesn't open the cap and sniff the shampoo before buying a shampoo?)What's Best for You? Since each of us has individual needs, experiment with different shampoos to determine which ones make your hair most manageable and look its best. Many women fail to take their hairstylists' recommendations on shampoo, assuming the stylist is "ripping them off" or "just trying to sell them something" so the salon can make more money. In reality, stylists know that salon-quality shampoos are generally superior to their drugstore counterparts. If you trust your stylist, it's worth taking her advice. The worst-case scenario: You won't like the product, and you can express your disappoint to her.If budget is a problem and you simply cannot bear the thought of spending $10 to $15 for a single bottle of shampoo, dilute the $3 brand you're currently buying (one part water to two parts shampoo). This will reduce the harshness, but is still not the best for your hair. [ continue reading ... ]

TV Shows to Watch Online - Watch TV on the Internet Now

TV Shows to Watch Online - Watch TV on the Internet Now
Have you ever been running late in getting home and you missed an episode of your favorite TV show? Until recently if you had missed your show you could have to wait until it played as a rerun somewhere. With today's technology that is no longer true. You can find old TV episodes on the internet to view from your computer.TV stations are putting episode after episode online for the masses to watch from the computer. Now you don't have to worry about not being home to watch your show. Although you have probably used a VCR or DVR in the past to record missed shows, you can't possibly record every channel at the same time.Large TV stations like FOX, CBS, NBC, and ABC have started to put their TV shows online. You can now go to their site and watch some of the episodes that you otherwise would have had to wait for a rerun to see. You can schedule your time better now and watch TV when you want.If you are worried about not having enough time to watch the entire episode, you will find that commercials are limited and thus the total amount of time needed is less. A normal television episode that say is 60 minutes long with a commercial is really only about 40 minutes long without the commercials.By having fewer commercials with the episodes online you now have more total time to watch TV and you can probably squeeze in a few extra episodes here and there. If you do the math and figure you are saving 15 minutes per hour episode, once you watch 4 episodes it will have only taken up the same amount of time as 3 episodes normally would. If you think watching TV from your computer screen won't be as good as your TV, don't worry. Most computer monitors look just as nice if not better than TV sets. The performance of most computers is also good enough to run the TV shows smoothly.Even if you only have dial-up internet you will find few problems with viewing shows online. If you have broadband then the sky is the limit and you will be able to watch the shows in larger windows or even full screen. You will need to play with the different choices you have available until you find a good balance with performance and quality. In summary, now that you have the ability to watch TV on the internet with limited commercial interruptions and get good quality with good performance, you will find yourself glued to your computer.
